The Doppler CarPlay app is missing artists/albums/songs

All Docs

The CarPlay system has two “modes” which affect how apps display content on screen:

  1. When your car is moving, CarPlay only shows a very small amount of information on screen and restricts the things you can do with it. This is to encourage you to keep your eyes on the road and avoid using your CarPlay screen if possible. This restriction is enforced by Apple, and developers cannot make any changes.

  2. When your car is parked, CarPlay will show more information on screen and remove some of those restrictions, however long lists like your music library may be cut off and you only see the first 50 artists/albums/songs (this number may vary from car to car). Again, this restriction is enforced by Apple, and developers cannot make any changes.

Apple’s recommendation is to use Siri to control CarPlay wherever possible — particularly when driving.

Doppler supports Siri commands for playing specific artists, albums, songs and playlists and many other functions you would expect. Please get in touch if you have any issues when using Siri with Doppler.
